Star Works

Workshop about space, space environment and environment from space.

EESTEC LC Helsinki in cooperation with Aalto University’s Department of Radio Science and Engineering organizes a space oriented workshop in the Otaniemi campus area from 23rd to 30th January 2011. During the week we’ll listen to lectures from Finland’s most recognized space researchers. After every day we’ll have small hands-on exercises and workshops on space and related technologies. We’ll also familiarize ourselves with few Finnish space companies who were so nice to support our event financially.

Supporting the event

15 of the participants will be from different EESTEC member committees all over the Europe and 15 will be students from Aalto University, the university LC Helsinki is in. Every day after the lectures and exercises the participants are given chance to get to know Finnish culture and student life. For successful completion of the academic part of the workshop the participant is awarded one ECTS credit.

To have the academic part successfully completed the participant has to return a lecture diary at the end of the week. The lecture diary is reviewed by the course staff and they then decide whether the participant qualifies for successful completion. More about this in this document. Notice that the International collaboration project’s deadline is in Finnish time.

You can get the user name and password for the lecture slides from the organizers.
